Our Story
In 2023, the UN reported that almost 1 in 4 women wanting to avoid pregnancy were dissatisfied with the contraceptive options available.
The WHO also revealed that in 2024 only 2 in 5 schools worldwide provided menstrual health education.
As a consequence, many menstruators have turned to period apps. But here’s the problem: most period apps tell you when you’re “fertile” or that you “ovulated on day X” but ovulation cannot be predicted and an app or fancy algorithm cannot know if you ovulated or not.
These tools offer you false certainty, which to me, is gaslighting & it’s harming our ability to make informed decisions about our reproductive health.
That’s why Habibi Fertility exists: to bridge the gap in body literacy. At Habibi Fertility, I support people in learning Fertility Awareness: a science-based, hormone-free method to prevent pregnancy that centres body literacy and health autonomy. It offers a safe alternative to hormonal contraceptives, such as the pill.
You take charge of your menstrual and reproductive health and you only have to invest once, rather than every month or every trimester.
VISION
We believe body literacy is a fundamental right and envision a world where every menstruator becomes the expert on their own body & health.
MISSION
Habibi Fertility raises awareness about menstrual, sexual and reproductive health, centring education, autonomy and human rights.
